This Dixon RDM Series hose mender fitting is made of type 316 stainless steel and is suitable for repairing a broken hose. This hose mender has barbed ends to create a tight seal on a hose when used with a hose clamp or crimp sleeve or ferrule (not included). It is made of type 316 stainless steel for higher strength and greater corrosion resistance than type 304 stainless steel. It is not recommended for compressible products such as air, nitrogen, or steam.Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems.
